(10)National trails programme
Wadiyan
An Arabic-first identity for a national programme opening 12 hiking trails and 520 km of waymarking through desert valleys — from painted rock blazes to a visitor app with offline maps and ranger check-in.

(01)The challenge
The valleys were known to a few local guides, but new visitors had no safe way to find a trail, judge its difficulty or tell anyone where they were.
The programme needed a system that guides people in the field — often without signal — and feels rooted in the land, not imported.
(02)Our approach
We built the mark from a single contour line folding into a valley, in sandstone, dune and juniper green, with the tagline “امشِ الأرض كما هي — Walk the land as it is.” The marking system runs from two-bar rock blazes and waymark posts to trailhead signs with elevation profiles. The bilingual app shows difficulty and length, downloads offline maps and checks walkers in with the nearest ranger post. Folded maps, guides, ranger stations, uniforms and patrol vehicles complete the programme.
