(01)The challenge
Lawyers can’t use an answer they can’t verify, and in their work a confident wrong answer is worse than none.
Codicil needed a product a London firm would trust with live matters: answers anchored to the source, a review process partners can sign off, and data that never leaves the firm.
(02)Our approach
We designed a citation pattern — no claim without a clause: each answer leads with the exact quote and a chip such as “Clause 14.2, p. 37” that opens the document at the highlighted passage. Bundle review turns 240 documents into one queue where every flag is explained. It runs inside the firm’s own cloud with matter-level permissions, under a brand built from a pilcrow and a closing bracket.
