Velopolis

Showcase concept

One monthly price for an e-bike, its repairs and theft cover — a rider app to ride, report and swap, a mechanic tool that writes every bike’s service history, and a design system for both.

(01)The challenge

A subscription bike only works if fixing it is easier than owning one.

Velopolis runs a fleet across Amsterdam and needed riders to report a flat tyre in seconds, mechanics to arrive with the right parts, and every repair to be traceable to one bike.

(02)Our approach

The rider app unlocks the bike with a swipe and shows battery, range and theft cover at a glance. Reporting a problem takes a fault type and a photo; if it’s covered, a fresh bike is delivered in a two-hour window while the old one goes to the workshop. The mechanic tool turns each repair into an entry in the bike’s passport, and a shared design system and a signal-orange livery tie the product together.
