(12)Boutique desert resort
Wahaj Retreats
A bilingual identity for a boutique desert retreat, drawn from AlUla’s Nabataean doorways and the last light on its sandstone.

(01)The challenge
A 24-pavilion retreat opening in the Ashar valley needed a brand that could stand beside AlUla’s heritage without imitating it — hushed and luxurious in Arabic and English, at every scale from a key card to a five-metre arrival totem.
(02)Our approach
We built the monogram from the crow-step crown of a Nabataean tomb, with a setting sun held in its doorway, and paired it with a high-contrast serif and a light Arabic wordmark. The system extends into a palette of Hegra clay, sandstone, night indigo and brass; stationery and in-room amenities; corten-and-brass wayfinding; and a cinematic booking website with an Arabic mobile experience.
