Ryokan Kaze
A bilingual website and direct-booking flow for a twelve-room inn at the foot of Higashiyama — the season first, the rooms second, and a rate that already includes dinner and breakfast.

(01)The challenge
Kaze is a restored merchant’s house above Yasaka with twelve rooms, a cypress bath and a kitchen that cooks to the week.
Almost every guest arrived through travel platforms that reduced it to a photo and a price. The inn wanted travellers to understand the rooms, the kaiseki and the seasons — and to book directly, in English or Japanese.
(02)Our approach
We organised the site around the calendar: a seasonal system re-dresses the home page for spring, summer, autumn and winter, down to what is outside each window. Every room has its own page — size, bath, view and light — and booking takes four short steps with the dinner-and-breakfast rate shown upfront. A journal and an access guide answer the questions guests used to email.
